About The Cordelle Wedding Venue

The house that The Cordelle now calls home is an old 1880s Victorian structure that was damaged in a fire and left abandoned for years. Eventually, The Powell Team rescued the beautiful space, transforming it into a gorgeous event venue after years of tender renovation.

Today, it’s a contemporary, beautiful gathering site for weddings and other events, with indoor and outdoor spaces that can suit the vision for any wedding. Whether you dream of a fall garden wedding beneath autumnal foliage or an intimate ceremony before a fireplace, The Cordelle could be the perfect venue for you.

Details of the Grounds

When you book your wedding at The Cordelle, you can access the entire property for the whole day. That means you can utilize each space to suit your wedding exactly as you see fit!

To begin your day, prepare alongside your bridal party in the gorgeous Loft, with lots of natural light (every photographer’s dream) and exposed brick walls. It’s the perfect place for a little pampering and for capturing timeless “getting ready” shots as you prepare for your wedding day.

If you dream of an outdoor wedding, their 5,000-square-foot Garden Lawn is perfect for tented or open-air events. Surrounded by beautiful landscaping and fragrant flowers, it’s a charming oasis for a romantic ceremony or a reception beneath the stars. The Garden Lawn can also accommodate up to 300 guests.

Indoors, the Great Hall has clean white walls and rich, dark, hardwood floors. Its soaring ceilings make the space feel even more airy without sacrificing the historic charm of the original venue. It’s both modern and rustic, contemporary and cozy.

Lastly, the Victorian space features more beautiful exposed brick and lots of the home’s original historic touches, making it ideal for intimate wedding ceremonies and receptions. Combined with the Great Hall, the Cordelle’s interior can accommodate up to 175 guests.

Wedding Details

A great perk of hosting your wedding at The Cordelle is their open vendor policy. You can bring in any licensed and insured vendor you choose. That gives you total freedom over your caterer, florist, DJ, and more. You can also provide your own alcohol (and ABC-certified bartenders), or you can take advantage of The Cordelle’s “In-House Full Bar Service,” which offers a variety of beer and wine and specialty cocktail packages.

To make sure your event is as smooth and seamless as possible, they do require that you have a professional event planner. Whether you find someone from their Respected Vendor List or bring in your own coordinator, this is one requirement for which you’ll definitely be grateful in the long run!
