The Estate at Cherokee Dock is a spectacular waterfront venue with incredible gardens, a gorgeous mansion, and plenty of spaces to host an unforgettable wedding. I have been in love with this venue for such a long time, and I think it is a fantastic spot for a wedding in the Memphis area – and it’s on my bucket list of venues to photograph!! About The Estate at Cherokee Dock Wedding Venue
While today the Estate at Cherokee Dock is an esteemed event space and wedding venue, it is also widely known to be the former home of award-winning artist, actor, and country superstar Reba McEntire! In 2017, it opened as Cherokee Dock and began hosting exquisite weddings in Lebanon, Tennessee, just 30 minutes outside downtown Nashville.
The beautiful mansion came about in 1960 on 15 private acres of gorgeous property that feature lavish gardens, stables renovated into a luxury event space, a guest house, a pool house, and so much more. Its acres of scenic lakefront also add an even more special touch to this secluded country oasis that exudes romance and natural beauty.
Additionally, they have beautiful onsite accommodations for up to 29 guests, so you can make your event a whole wedding weekend!
Details of the Grounds
There are a variety of spaces available at The Estate at Cherokee Dock for you to consider when hosting your wedding, both indoor and outdoor!
For an outdoor ceremony, The Lakeside Lawn provides a beautiful waterfront setting for a romantic vow exchange looking out over Old Hickory Lake and the Cumberland River. Serenity Gardens have plenty of space for seating up to 300 guests and comfortable outdoor lounge areas for mingling and socializing.
You’ll be surrounded by lush greenery, gorgeous for an authentic garden wedding feel. Alternatively, Willow Oak Canopy resides in a grove of beautiful willow trees with rolling green lawns and a more forested feel. Of course, you can always host your ceremony in one of their magical indoor spaces, too!
The Lakeview Event Center is their main space located on the banks of the Cumberland River. It has retractable glass doors that bring the outdoors in, including plenty of natural light and breathtaking views of the property and water. With a unique industrial/rustic aesthetic, this space also includes a large covered outdoor patio and room to accommodate up to 250 people for a seated reception.
The Sunset Terrace is a large, glamorous framed tent that offers the perfect blank canvas to transform the space into the wedding of your dreams for up to 350 people. It also offers beautiful sunset photo opportunities as the sun sets over the Cumberland River.
