About The Union Station Wedding Venue in Nashville

The Union Station Nashville Yards began as a spectacular train station in 1900, an epicenter of American travel in one of the country’s bustling cities. Its imposing Gothic design made it an architectural marvel in its original era, leaving visitors breathless today.

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, The Union Station features a clock tower with a statue of the Roman god of travel, Mercury, a 70’ barrel-vaulted ceiling with stained glass in the Grand Lobby, marble floors, oak accents, and three limestone fireplaces. 

In 1986, the Union Station was transformed into a luxury boutique hotel and event space, hosting grand weddings and gatherings ever since.

There are several unique ways to utilize the spaces at Union Station for a wedding full of grandeur and romance. 

The Grand Lobby is the signature space in the venue that is as dramatic as it is spectacular. With an incredible arched and lofted ceiling featuring gold leaf medallions and stained glass, the space exudes history and elegance. It’s an exceptional ceremony or reception space for up to 300 guests.

The Dixie Flyer and Hummingbird rooms are located just off of the Grand Lobby. They, too, have towering ceilings, as well as ornate original stained-glass windows. It’s an excellent space for an intimate cocktail hour or a smaller wedding with room for up to 200 people. 

Lastly is the Veranda, the covered outdoor terrace ideal for an outdoor ceremony protected by the weather. Or use it for your cocktail hour or reception for a guest list of up to 250.
